Home Visits
Home Visit volunteers go to prospective applicants' homes to determine what kind of Golden Retriever would be best for that particular family. GRFR has a strict policy that all applicants' homes be approved before a dog can be adopted. The volunteer would spend about an hour getting to know the family and discussing and assessing the home environment and expectations. The potential adopter's preferences and lifestyle are discussed in order to make appropriate decisions regarding the placement of each particular Golden.
